Government Names Four Alternative Routes as Abuja -Lokoja highway remains closed to motorists as a result of Lokoja flood

The Federal Road Safety Corps yesterday named four alternative roads following the temporary closure of the Lokoja Bridge.
A statement by the Corps Public Education Officer, Jonas Agwu said alternative roads were named A, B, C, and D routes. "The FRSC has identified and mapped out 4 designated routes for motorists to ply in order to avoid the flooded portions of the highway.
"There is point "A", from Okene en route Ajaokuta-Ayangba-Ankpa-Makurdi-Lafia-Abuja while point "B" is meant for motorists already in Abaji. These motorists should use the Toto-Nasarawa route while point "C" has been designated for motorists proceeding from the South East axis to access Abuja through the Otukpa-Makurdi-Abuja road. Road users from Ankpa are to access Ajaokuta - Okene and enter through the Army Barrack road."
The stamen said the temporary blocked portions of the road are Banda village, Nataco junction, Shagari Bridge by Zariagi/Kabba junction and Ganaja village by 500 housing units.
